Athlete with Potential Award
The Charmaine Hooper Athlete with International Potential Award
This award is presented to nominees who have shown an outstanding performance at any edition of the World Abilitysport Youth World Games.
This award, first presented in 2008, contributes £500 to the athlete’s next participation at a World Abilitysport Games where the sport in which they compete, is part of the programme.
In 2026, the award was renamed to The Charmaine Hooper Athlete with International Potential Award in honour of our late CEO, Charmaine Hooper who passed away in February 2026 and was passionate about supporting youth athletes.
