The World Championship promises to be the most competitive edition ever staged. Reigning world champions Denmark headline Group A alongside Finland, Spain, Italy and Switzerland, while Group B features powerhouse nations The Netherlands, Germany, Canada, Belgium and Australia.

For one unforgettable week, Pajulahti will become the beating heart of the global powerchair hockey community.

The event schedule will begin with arrivals, accreditation, classification and official training sessions before the Opening Ceremony and opening matches on 26 May. Group stage battles will run from 27 to 29 May, followed by playoffs, finals and the Closing Ceremony on 31 May.

The final day of the championship will also mark a historic moment for the sport, as the first-ever class of inductees into the International Powerchair Hockey Hall of Fame will officially be honoured and celebrated, recognising individuals who have made an extraordinary impact on the development and history of powerchair hockey internationally.

Inside the arena, fans and spectators will experience elite international competition at the very highest level, with high-speed tactical gameplay, emotional rivalries and historic matchups between some of the strongest national teams in the world. The championship will showcase the extraordinary skill, speed, teamwork and determination of the athletes, while also celebrating the values of inclusion, professionalism and sporting excellence that define the sport.
