Following the withdrawal of the Games from Jakarta, Indonesia, the 2025 World Abilitysport Games will now be hosted from 17 to 24 November 2025 in Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand hosting Para athletics, Para fencing and shooting Para sport.
The 2025 World Abilitysport Games will now be hosted from 17 to 24 November 2025 returning to the host city of Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand.
The experienced and knowledgeable hosts at the Sports Association for the Disabled of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of his Majesty the King (SPADT) will again host the Games following unforgettable editions of the 2023 World Games and 2024 World Abilitysport Youth Games in the city.

The 2025 World Abilitysport Games will host Para athletics, shooting Para sport and Para fencing at the familiar facilities of His Majesty the King’s 80th Birthday Anniversary, 5th December 2007 Sports Complex.
The inclusion of Para athletics in the Games programme will provide athletes with two World Para Athletics approved competitions in one trip with the World Abilitysport Games (21-23 November) immediately followed by the 3rd Nakhon Ratchasima International Para Athletics Meeting (24-26 November).

A World Shooting Para Sport Grand Prix will be held in the 80th Birthday Stadium shooting range with international classification opportunities pending alongside World Para Fencing which will return to the Convention Centre of the complex for its final World Cup of 2025.

It is with regret that due to the relocation and subsequent new dates we were unable to work around current competitions to facilitate the hosting of Para powerlifting and Para taekwondo on this occasion. We look forward to working closely with these international federations towards future editions of the Games.
World Abilitysport President, Rudi Van den Abbeele said, ‘We are delighted to be heading back to Nakhon Ratchasima, a place that holds such fantastic memories of successful competition and hard-won medals for our members and their athletes.’

‘Following the deeply regrettable yet unavoidable withdrawal of the Games from Jakarta, our upmost appreciation goes to SPADT President and World Abilitysport Governing Board member, Mr Maitree Kongruang for his unwavering dedication to World Abilitysport and his commitment to the delivery of competition opportunities for Para athletes.’
Entries for the Games will open on Tuesday 26th August and close on Tuesday 7th October. The entry information can be found here.
