Ludwig Guttmann Paraplegic Sports Foundation offers grants

The Foundation – which has been working to continue the legacy of the Father of the Paralympic Movement Sir Ludwig Guttmann since 1982 – is offering funding to any individual or organisation associated with wheelchair sports.

The Ludwig Guttmann Paraplegic Sports Foundation (LGSPF) is once again partnering with the International Wheelchair and Amputee Sports Federation (IWAS) to offer grants to help athletes with spinal cord injuries to develop their sporting careers.

The Foundation – which has been working to continue the legacy of the Father of the Paralympic Movement Sir Ludwig Guttmann since 1982 – is offering funding to any individual or organisation associated with wheelchair sports.

In the past the Grant Support Programme has awarded money to projects ranging from classification and training to literature that promotes participation and athlete development on the international stage.

The new round of grants is expected to assist a similarly wide range of activities.

Applicants are required to complete the application form by 1 April 2020 for consideration the following summer.

An outline proposal, projected outcomes and an itemised budget must also be submitted.

A maximum of 750 GBP is up for grabs for successful applications. In return the LGPSF asks to receive a small report and photos of the activities.
