IWAS World Junior Gmaes, our Congratulations and Gratitude

26/08/2010

To all atheletes that attended the Games and to offer a gracious thanks to the Local Organising Committee

Now that the IWAS World Junior Games have finished, IWAS wants to take this opportunity to not only congratulate our member nations that took part in the event but to also offer our appreciation to the local organizing committee at the Atleticky Klub, Olomouc and all their volunteers that’s helped the Games to be such a remarkable success that it was.

Poland topped the final medal table with an impressive 65 medals in total, which included 32 gold, 25 silver and 8 bronze. Germany followed in second with a total of 44 medals and Great Britain third with a total of 42 medals.

Obviously this is an impressive result for these countries but there were remarkable results from so many of the up and coming Paralympic athletes of future. As a federation that follows the ethos or providing a pathway for grass roots athletes we are proud of all the accomplishments achieved at the IWAS Junior World Games 2010. And we wish to offer our ever continuing support and encouragement to the athletes that attended.
