USA overhauls Russian Federation on day two of Athletics. Czech Republic and Kazakhstan have a good day in the pool.

After a further sixteen finals events on day two of the athletics the USA managed to overhaul the Russian Federation to top the athletics medals table after a total of 39 finals events and two days of competition. After four finals in the table tennis and two in the archery Great Britain are in the lead. After day one of the swimming the Czech Republic and Kazakhstan both have won four gold medals and three bronze medals, but Czech Republic top the table by virtue of their five silver medals.
