IWAS World Games volunteers thanked for their contribuitions

Gifts and certificates were presented to over 200 volunteers for their invaluable contributions to the success of the Games
Over 200 volunteers were presented with certificates and plaques by Deputy Head of the Local Organizing Committee, Vice-President of IWAS, Chairman of the Board, First Vice President of the Russian Paralympic Committee, Pavel Rozhkov, Deputy Director of Department of development of physical culture and sport and Sports Ministry of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Malitsa in thanks for their support during the IWAS World Games.
‘On behalf of IWAS, the Russian Paralympic Committee and the Russian Federation sports officials we thank you for your invaluable support at the IWAS World Games.’ said Pavel Rozhkov.
25 students of the Kuban State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, as well as 10 students of the Russian State University of Physical Culture, Sport, Youth and Tourism, were invited by the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation in order to obtain organisational and practical skills in an international sports field. Volunteers were involved in the training and equipping of the various field of play, assisting athletes and teams during competition at sports facilities, in accommodation and during travel.
‘The Paralympic Committee of Russia traditionally attracts students of high schools as it allows them to train and experience events at the highest level, to teach them practical and organizational skills that can be useful to them in their work, in the field of physical culture and sports in general, and adaptive sports in particular.’ Pavel Rozhkov added.
The administraion of the city of Sochi also invited 173 volunteers who contributed greatly to the success of the Games.
