IWAS appoints first ever 2nd Vice President to contribute to leadership within the Federation

IWAS Board member Pavel Rozhkov accepts position with the support of the board.

IWAS board member Pavel Rozhkov has accepted to become the first ever 2nd Vice President for IWAS following the creation of the role during the 2013 IWAS General Assembly of Nations and in accordance with the IWAS Constitution and Strategic Plan.

On the 4th January, IWAS President Paul Depace made formal the decision agreed at the recent board meeting to appoint Pavel based on his continual service to athletes and success within the paralympic movement.

Mr Rozhkov is currently the First Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of the Russian Paralympic Committee and IWAS member organisation the Federation of Physical Culture and Sport for Persons with Physical Disabilities of Russia. He has been a member at large of the IWAS Executive Board since his election at the 2013 General Assembly and will remain in these appointments until the next Executive Board elections which will take place in 2017.

When offering the position it was noted that IWAS would look forward to benefitting from to his leadership in continuing the legacy of Sochi by conducting the IWAS World Games 2015 to take place in the same arena to the highest quality.
