Competing nations announced for IWAS Powerchair Hockey European Championships 2016

The IWAS Powerchair Hockey European Championships 2016 will take place in Alcobendas, Spain between 10  - 17 July 2016.

The competing nations have officially been announced for the 4th IWAS Powerchair Hockey European Championships to be hosted in the Spanish city of Alcobendas between 10 and 17 July 2016.

Eight countries will compete for the highly coveted European title, including Belgium, Finland, Denmark, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, host nation Spain and current World Champions, The Netherlands. The Group Drawing Ceremony is due to be held in February 2016.

The European Championships 2012 hosted in Nastola, Finland saw Netherlands take the top spot followed by Belgium taking the Silver and Finland, the Bronze.

Next years competition will be the first European Championships held in Spain and by the Local Organising Committee of the Spanish Federation for Sports for the Physically Disabled (FEDDF) with the support of the National Sports Council (Consejo Superior de Deportes), the regional Government of Madrid (Comunidad de Madrid), the Mayor and City Hall of Alcobendas and the Madrid Federation for Sports for the Physically Disabled (FMDDF).
