Improving communication between disabled bowlers

The International Bowls for the Disabled (IBD) would like to improve the bonds and co-operation of their member nations.

To achieve this they are planning to distribute a tri-monthly newsletter.  The forward will be written by the President, Brian Sneag and Executive Committee members will write a portfolio on their profile.

Furthermore the newsletter is to include a profile of a prominent person connected with the IBD. IWAS is keen to support IBD and appeal to our readers to submit the details of anybody that played a role in bowls over the years.
Many IWAS Member nations remain keen bowling nations and this will give them the opportunity to keep up to date with what is happening in the world of international bowls for people with disabilities.  IBD would like to hear from nations about all your planned activities on your calendar, receive results from Tournaments held in your country, receive copies of your national newsletter and  have a dedicated person to serve as the Bowls ‘correspondent’ for the IBD newsletter.

The IBD website www.interdisabledbowls.org has been updated with information.
The IBD Executive are:

  • Brian Sneag – President
  • Bob Love – Membership
  • Colin Frude – Finance
  • Cathy Donaldson – Constitution
  • Sheila Corcoran – Classification
  • Fred Sterrenberg – Players
