The 12th edition of the Games for athletes under 23 years of age will be hosted in the Czech capital of Prague where athletes will participate in Arm Wrestling, Athletics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Tennis and Wheelchair Fencing over four days of competition (preliminary sports programme).
There are just two weeks to go until Final Entries close for the IWAS Under 23 World Games 2016 (29 June – 3 July)! The 12th edition of the Games for athletes under 23 years of age will be hosted in the Czech capital of Prague where athletes will participate in Arm Wrestling, Athletics, Swimming, Table Tennis, Wheelchair Tennis and Wheelchair Fencing over four days of competition (preliminary sports programme).
The response from the IWAS Membership has been fantastic with Intentions to Participate received from over 30 countries with keen interest from many more.
Following a fruitful IWAS site visit and with the recent announcement of the Opening Ceremony to be held in the iconic Old Town Square in the centre of Prague, preparations are in full swing for a successful Games!
For many athletes the IWAS U23 World Games are a chance to compete in their chosen sport on an international stage for the first time, offering new sporting opportunities and life experiences. We look forward to welcoming athletes from 30+ countries to the city of Prague for what promises to be four days of thrilling competition!
