COVID-19 CPISRA Update

26/03/2020

Dear CPISRA community, First and foremost, we hope you are all safe and well during this difficult time. Covid-19 is affecting every aspect of people’s lives and we understand everyone’s anxieties and uncertainty, and we know we are experiencing disruptions much bigger than sport and recreation.

We have been monitoring the Covid-19 situation as it changes internationally on a daily basis. CPISRA events have been and will undoubtedly continue to be affected due to the Global containment of the virus, and we are currently reviewing each future event on a case by case basis. Please be assured we will contact all participants as decisions are made in the coming days and weeks. In addition, we will inform our wider community if or when events are postponed. This is to help with your planning for later in 2020 and into 2021, when we all hope the World will have returned to something like normality.

In recent days, it has also been announced that both the Olympic and Paralympic Games have been postponed until 2021. CPISRA fully supports the difficult decisions taken by both the IOC and IPC. We will continue to await further guidance on next steps, and will communicate these accordingly.

As above and as always, our community’s well-being is our priority and we urge you to follow your government’s advice.

Yours ever,
The CPISRA Team
